On October 3, NHARL had a booth at the Pope Memorial Walk for the Animals, where we encouraged dog lovers to have compassion for all animals — even those we’ve been taught to see as food.

To help visitors make the connection between the meat on their plates and the animals it came from — animals who share many of the same wonderful qualities as the dogs we love — we shared a short video that we created for an earlier event.
As a reward for watching the video, we gave out cans of vegan cold brew coffee from RISE Brewing Co.
For the pups, we had Greenies, which we purchased by mistake, thinking they were Whimzees.
Unfortunately, Greenies are not vegan, whereas Whimzees are. Visitors to our booth also received a bag of literature, including a copy of Is a Vegan Diet Rights for Your Dog?
