Treelyn Road Homeowners Association

The human residents of Treelyn Road in Stoddard found themselves in a quandary when beavers decided the neighborhood would make a nice home for them as well.

For years residents periodically cleaned out the culverts the beavers were working hard to dam. It was a time-consuming task, and if they fell behind one heavy rain put the road at risk of flooding.

With the help of a grant from the New Hampshire Animal Rights League, the homeowner’s association was able to hire Skip Lisle to install a beaver deceiver.

Now installed, the beaver deceiver is a permanent solution to the problem, helping achieve a water level that is acceptable to the beavers and the humans who rely on the road.
